Iraq today...

...if any one feature typifies the political left (all right, all right almost everyone who enters politics) it is hypocrisy. And it is blatant hypocrisy on display that will guarantee green/left unpopularity and eventual demise. The internet and the vast network of file sharing and communication means that the left can never again posture and pretend and get away with it for long.
George W. Bush in comfortable retirement in Texas has been one of the left's most hated political figures. Yet, it is the left who claim a copyright on concern for human rights for all, and like to think they are the true "progressives" amongst us.
Surely then the left must be rejoicing in the recent progressive developments in Iraq, and regretting their hatred for the man whose policies and political principles ensured Iraq's liberation from dictatorship. George W. Bush will go down in history as a liberator of Iraq, and his opponents will be seen in the cold light of historical, objective examination as choosing to side with tyranny and oppression.
A month by month analysis of present day Iraq is carried out by The Brookings Institute. Its latest report is a thorough and fascinating snapshot of Iraq today and the hopes of its people. Among other facts, it's worth noting that under Saddam Hussein, prior to the invasion; there were NO commercial television stations and NO independent newspapers. By 2006, 54 commercial TV stations were operating and 268 independent newspapers and magazines were in circulation.
In 2003, there were 833,000 telephone subscribers. Today, there are 17.7 million cellular subscribers and 1.3 million landline users, In 2003 there were 4,900 internet subscribers, compared to 820,00 in April 2009...
These facts, together with nationwide polling, indicate that confidence for the future and support for Iraqi democracy is strong and growing stronger. Clearly then, Bush's war in Iraq was a war of liberation from a tyrant who deserved his fate. Not a war of liberation however, that the hypocritical left like to recognise or acknowledge...

Urm, few points left out there. Over 1,000,000 Iraqi citizens have died as a result of the Iraq war (source: Lancet.) There is an epidemic of birth deformities and cancer due to the depleted uranium strewn about the landscape as a result of the war. The original intention was not to rid Iraq of Saddam - an erstwhile ally of the US - it was to protect the US from WMD which were non-existent. The US is there for the oil in Iraq and proximity to other resource-rich nations such as Iran.

One of the first feats of the occupying power was to fluoridate the water - a proven mind control, carcinogenic and fertility reducing substance. The US has built the world's biggest embassy there and several permanent military bases - they have no intention of leaving. There's huge unemployment and lack of basic utilities such as water and electricity.

It's time to shed your false left/right paradigm Eric and Mickey. Besides Bush is a fake conservative - he's actually a left wing fascist pretending to be a right wing Christian.

If it was so good to invade Iraq what of all the other troubled spots in the world, what didn't they have enough oil?

No Carbon, no points left out. Check with the report, particularly the feelings of the Iraqi citizenry...And fluoridation...mind control ???

What CarbonFooledYa said!

Booyah! The million Iraqi were just the result of the first Baby Bush onslaught - from then until The One's strategic withdrawal, over five BILLION Iraqis have died as a direct result of attempted US hagemony.

It was all about the oil - the U$ Govt has invaded and invegled an utterly cowered oil producing nation, to make sure that oil stays less than US $80 per barrel! (Except for when it went to $147, so they bombed the fuck out of a few innocent towns and villages, and brought the price of oil straight back down).

Fluoridation was introduced by the goose-stepping fascist bastards supposedly to help with the "children" and their tooth decay. What, do you see any sugar cane in Iraq? Where are all the dento-medico hand-wringers decrying this assault on a poor population by Big Sugar??

There are shocking, shocking brth deformities as a direct result of pulverised DU.

How you people can cheer this on is an incredible example of utter moral turpitude.

I really don't know how you fascists can sleep at night...

Yo carbon, how about the moon landings ? faked like 911 ?

Carbon Con said...

@ Anonymous

Yes. Apollo moon landings definitely faked. 9-11 = inside job, controlled demolition. Osama didn't do it.

Carbon, how about UFO's ? big cover up ?

Carbon Con said...

@ Anonymous. Now that's a mystery. I have seen an excellent video, close up, of a flying saucer over some farm in Switzerland. It was gun metal grey and clearly had lowered inertia and anti-gravity. It was nothing like the pathetic blurry images of UFOs they show on TV. (It did appear on Japanese TV.)

Whether it's aliens or humans I don't know. I do know that the Americans plundered the best Nazi scientists after WW2 and one of them was Victor Schauberger who worked on anti-gravity saucer-like devices. There were many secret programs regarding Nazi technology at Wright-Patterson air force base.

Yet the craft I saw looked so advanced - the typical "sports model" as described by Bob Lazar - I doubt even humans have reached that stage.

CarbonFooledya and Kaboom are obviously two sensitive caring human beings, alert to the dangers which face us all, and from which the US government seeks to divert us. 5 billion Iraqis killed!! More than half the population of the planet.. An 'epidemic' of birth deformities because of depleted uranium.... No Moon landing. 911 an inside job. Fluoridation = mind control. But what about John Kennedy? How many gunmen?

"Added Armstrong, "I suppose it really was one small step for man, one giant lie for mankind."
...and how many people know that Neil Armstrong is the uncle of Lance Armstrong the Tour de France winner ? Makes you wonder about sophisticated yet secret technological help, perhaps even quantum/anti-gravity techniques...
