About three years ago I was on the dole long enough to have to attend weekly meetings at my job network member with other people in the same situation. One young lady would attend wearing a full body black burqa only revealing her hands and a slit for her eyes. Because we have this "anti-discrimination"/"multiculturalism" thing in Australia no one could legally say or do anything. She was fit, capable and spoke English with an Aussie accent. So, she could work but it was apparent she had no intention of doing so cause who would hire someone dressed like that?

If you want rort the dole by staying on it the burqa is the perfect cover! Heh heh.

The only solution is either to outlaw it, or for the rest of us to wear it in such numbers that it annoys Mr Plod. (And a bank robbery or several with burqa disguises might hurry things along a little bit too.)
